Abandoned Lighthouse Lens in Bhutan Autumn in along a vine-choked corridor in Bhutan

Abandoned Lighthouse Lens in Bhutan Autumn

by Clark Ellis

Thick green vines strangle the stone corridor walls, their leaves glistening with recent rain moisture under the fading golden light of early autumn. The massive glass lens of the lighthouse stands fractured, its cracked surface catching the last horizontal rays before nightfall. Moist air hangs heavy, visible as a soft haze between the vine-choked pillars and the darkening sky. Rough masonry textures contrast with the smooth, wet sheen of the creeping vegetation. Deep shadows pool in the corridor corners while the clouded glass reflects the dimming orange sky. One shard of broken crystal rests on the damp stone floor, catching a final glint of the setting sun.
