Early morning sun cuts low through horizon haze, illuminating a light drizzle that beads on the wet metal surfaces. Mud coats the trench edges while spray-painted markings in red and yellow contrast against the grey steel. A heavy iron chain hangs loosely around the timber supports, securing the structure. The low angle view emphasizes the height of the filter stack against the damp earth. Water droplets slide down the corrugated steel ribs, merging with the dark soil at the base of the trench.
