Wolves Hunting Caribou Alaska Tundra Midnight Sun in beside a tidal inlet in Alaska

Wolves Hunting Caribou Alaska Tundra Midnight Sun

by Cory Stark

Pale gray tundra grass stretches across a wide, flat landscape beside a shimmering tidal inlet. Four gray wolves crouch low in the vegetation, their bodies tense and still as they scan a distant herd of caribou. The water reflects the relentless early afternoon sun, casting a cool, silvery glow over the scene. The sky remains a clear, bright blue without clouds. Moss and low shrubs dot the ground, breaking up the monotony of the open plain. The wolves' fur blends with the dry, brownish grasses, while the caribou stand in a loose group further away near the water's edge. One ripple moves across the surface of the inlet, breaking the reflection of the sky.
