Winter Dawn Mist Over Red Sandstone Wadi Nova Scotia
Pale winter light falls through a thick layer of mist, softening the jagged edges of a dry wadi carved into red sandstone. The terrain stretches flat and barren, dusted with a thin layer of snow that clings to crevices and highlights the rough, weathered texture of the rock faces. Cool gray tones of the overcast sky blend with the muted rust hues of the stone, creating a palette of subdued earth colors. Snow-laden branches from sparse, leafless trees line the canyon rim, their dark silhouettes stark against the pale fog. The surface of the wadi floor appears smooth and undisturbed, reflecting the diffused glow of the dawn. A small patch of exposed red rock near the center breaks the white cover, showing the raw mineral grain beneath the frost. The stillness is absolute, with no movement in the hanging fog or on the frozen ground.
