Whale Shark Among Kelp Before Sunrise
Sunlight pierces the cool, still water of Busan's Jagalchi waters, illuminating a massive whale shark gliding through a dense forest of autumn kelp. The shark's spotted gray skin contrasts with the deep green fronds swaying gently around its flanks. Several snorkelers drift in the mid-ground, their silhouettes small against the creature's immense scale. Tiny suspended particles glitter like scattered diamonds in the first rays of dawn, catching the light as they float in the water column. The kelp stalks create vertical lines that frame the shark's body, while the swimmers' fins remain motionless in the weightless quiet. One bubble rests on the tip of a kelp blade near the shark's dorsal fin.
