Water Droplet on Spider Silk Over Glacial Stream

One, perfect sphere of water hangs from a microscopic strand of spider silk, suspended in the air above a rushing glacial stream. The droplet refracts the flat, white light of an overcast noon, turning the pale autumn mist into a soft gray backdrop. Below, the icy water churns with white foam, its surface broken by submerged rocks and floating ice shards.
