Pale morning light spills across a delicate spider web stretched high above a rushing glacial stream in Tasmania. Tiny spherical dew drops rest on the silk threads, catching the first rays of sunrise like scattered diamonds. A thin layer of fog hovers just above the water, softening the dark granite banks below while keeping the foreground sharp. The web spans the rule of thirds, anchoring the composition against the misty backdrop. Each bead of water reflects the pale blue sky and the grey stone, creating miniature worlds within the strands. The texture of the wet silk contrasts with the smooth, cold surface of the droplets.
