Bright noon light flattens the colors of a Victorian iron bridge spanning a deep gorge near Tiruchirappalli. Rust-red rivets dot the dark steel trusses that curve sharply against the pale sky. Below, the gorge walls rise in steep, weathered rock faces, stripped of vegetation by the dry cool season air. A monumental staircase descends along the cliff edge, its stone steps glowing white under the harsh sun. The bridge structure creates strong converging lines that pull toward a distant vanishing point in the haze. Shadows beneath the girders are sharp and black, offering no relief from the glare. The iron surface shows pitted textures where paint has worn away, revealing the raw metal underneath.
