Victorian Iron Bridge Over Misty Gorge at Indigo Twilight

Cool blue light washes the wrought-iron arches of a Victorian bridge spanning a deep, mist-filled gorge. The structure rises from a formal civic plaza in Ohio, its dark metalwork detailed with rivets and ornate scrollwork that catch the fading daylight. A thick layer of fog rests on the bottom of the gorge, obscuring the water below while the clear winter air keeps the sky a uniform, deep indigo. Snow dusts the plaza's stone pavement and the bridge's railings, against the dark iron. Leading lines of the bridge's diagonal supports draw the eye upward toward the apex of the arch. The rigid geometry of the truss work stands stark against the soft, formless vapor rising from the chasm below. One rivet on the lower girder reflects the faint residual glow of the sky.
