Rusted Bridge Girders Dawn Shadow Gorge

Deep shadow swallows the lower gorge while a faint rim light traces the jagged edges of rusted steel girders. The ironwork, stripped of paint and pitted by years of exposure, hangs beneath a broken stone arch. Flaking red and orange rust contrasts against the cool grey stone of the archway above. Wind whips unseen through the structure, bending the thin stalks of dry grass clinging to the crevices in the masonry. Layers of rock and steel recede into the misty distance, showing vast, silent depth. The texture of the decay is sharp, with rust flakes catching the first pale rays of dawn against the dark void below.
