Cool blue twilight washes over a rusted copper mine headframe standing sentinel along a wet service road. Heavy rain streaks the air, blurring the edges of the massive steel structure while water drips from the seized winding gear. Thick pipes run parallel to the road, their surfaces slick with monsoon moisture and reflecting the dim sky. The metal glows with deep oxidized oranges and dark grays against the gray-blue background. Mud splatters the lower ground, clinging to the base of the rusted beams. Raindrops accumulate on the horizontal crossbeams, forming heavy, trembling droplets that hang precariously before falling into the dark puddles below.
