Tidal Island Silhouette at Misty Dawn in Santander Valley

Thick white mist blankets the wide valley floor near Santander, swallowing the lower ground in a seamless layer of gray fog. A solitary tidal island rises from the damp earth, its rocky form reduced to a dark, sharp silhouette against the pale, diffused glow of nautical dawn. The dry season leaves the exposed surfaces of the rock bare and textured, against the soft, fluid edges of the surrounding fog. Light filters weakly through the haze, creating a flat, even illumination that erases harsh shadows. The island stands as a stark, vertical anchor in the horizontal spread of the valley, its jagged top edge cutting cleanly against the brightening sky. Fine moisture coats the rock face, darkening the stone where the mist clings most heavily.
