Ceará Tidal Island Amidst Dappled Monsoon Light

Sunlight falls through dense canopy leaves, creating shifting patches of bright white and deep emerald on the wet, dark volcanic rock of a tidal island in Ceará. The water has receded completely, exposing slick, gray stone surfaces that glisten under the heavy midday sun. Above, a sky dominated by towering monsoon clouds casts dramatic shadows across the landscape. Fronds of tropical vegetation frame the edges of the island, their wet surfaces reflecting the gray light. A small pool of seawater trapped in a rock depression mirrors the cloud formation above. The scene stretches out to a distant horizon where the ocean meets the sky, showing the isolation of the rock formation.
