Mist rests on the low angle view of a heavy steel service door set into a concrete levee wall. Chipped yellow and black hazard stripes run horizontally across the metal surface, revealing rusted gray patches beneath the peeling paint. White stenciled numbers mark the upper corner of the door, standing out against the damp, dark steel. Raindrops bead and streak down the vertical seams, catching the soft, diffused light of early winter dawn. The ground below is a wet, muddy path where the levee meets the dark floodwater visible in the lower frame. The door sits firmly against the gray concrete, its edges sharp and defined by the cool morning haze. A small rivet head near the handle reflects a faint, cool highlight.
