Sunrise Rim Light on Towering Butte Ridge View

Deep shadow swallows the layered foothills below, leaving only a razor-thin rim of gold outlining the distant butte. The stone face stands stark against a perfectly clear, pale dawn sky, its verticality emphasized by the low angle of first light. Textures of wind-carved erosion appear as rough, dark ridges where the light fails to reach, while the upper edges glow with a fragile warmth. The foreground ridge slopes gently downward, its dry grasses turning brittle gold at the turn of seasons. No clouds interrupt the vastness above. A sharp line of light traces the butte's jagged peak, separating the dark rock from the bright horizon.
