Sunken Church Steeple Under Stone Arch Cotswolds

Soft, diffused light from low-hanging monsoon clouds fills the air above a waterlogged ruin in the Cotswolds. A broken stone arch frames the foreground, its weathered limestone pocked with dark moss and wet lichen. Beneath this arch, the water surface is still and gray, mirroring the heavy sky. The top of a stone church steeple emerges from the depths, its cross shattered and tilted. Green vines drape over the submerged masonry, while water plants cluster around the base of the spire. Layers of distance recede from the arch into a misty background where the water meets the low horizon. A thin film of algae rests on the highest visible stone, marking the water line against the gray sky.
