Steel Penstock Bend Wrapped in Snowmelt Before Dawn

Cold moonlight pools on the curved steel surface of a massive penstock bend, its riveted bands gleaming with condensation. Thick sheets of melting snow rest on the upper rim, dripping steadily into the mist rising from the spillway chute below. The air hangs heavy and humid, visible as a soft haze that softens the distant rugged peaks of the Scottish Isles.
