Curved streaks of white starlight arc across the indigo night sky above a weathered stone watchtower. The structure stands isolated on a dark-sky overlook near Taiyuan, its rough masonry catching faint ambient light. Midsummer heat creates a soft haze hovering low on the horizon, blurring the distant landscape into muted tones. The tower's empty window frames a patch of darkness, against the bright celestial motion above. Shadows from the stonework fall sharply across the ground, anchoring the ancient ruin against the vast, moving heavens. A faint glow lingers on the lower edge of the frame where the haze meets the earth.
