Early spring air leaves the desert ground dry and cracked, with pale salt crusts reflecting the fleeting illumination. The low angle emphasizes the verticality of the formations, making them appear as ancient sentinels guarding the water. Shadows stretch long and sharp across the uneven terrain, while the rest of the landscape remains swallowed in absolute darkness under the clear, starless night.
