Deep autumn night air settles over a wind-sculpted desert escarpment near Kansas City. A crumbling medieval stone tower stands isolated against a perfectly clear sky. Sweeping beams of lighthouse light cut through the darkness, illuminating the rough texture of the weathered masonry and the dry, golden grasses at the base. The stone surface shows deep cracks and moss patches in the shadows. Above, long exposure star trails arc in perfect concentric circles, showing celestial motion that contrasts with the static ruin. A rocky outcrop in the foreground frames the tower, adding depth to the composition. The final beam of light grazes the top edge of the tower wall, highlighting a single broken arrow slit.
