Standing Door Frame in Abandoned Puglia Cabin

Low sunlight pierces the horizon haze, illuminating a solitary wooden door frame standing amidst a field of toppled stone columns. The structure lacks a roof or walls, leaving the frame as the only vertical element in a landscape of late autumn decay. Dry nettles surge around the base of the timber, their jagged edges catching the morning light. The low angle emphasizes the height of the frame against the scattered ruins. Wind whips the surrounding vegetation, bending the stalks sharply against the stone debris. Dust particles float in the golden beam, settling on the weathered grain of the wood. A shadow stretches long across the ground, ending abruptly at the bottom of the frame where a single stone rests.
