Abandoned Ski Lodge Silhouette with Sagging Cables

Dark timber beams of a derelict lodge stand stark against a pale, early autumn sky as the sun dips low. Sagging chairlift cables droop heavily, touching the untouched snow of the groomed slope below. Low-hanging clouds press close to the mountain ridge, obscuring the horizon in a soft gray haze. The structure's open windows form a dark frame within the larger frame of the lodge's upper balcony. Weathered wood planks show the texture of years of exposure, stripped of paint and color. Shadows stretch long across the pristine white surface, showing the stillness of the resort before the first skiers arrive. A broken support beam leans precariously against the main wall.
