The bright late morning sun cuts through the narrow alley of Fez, illuminating a bustling tannery scene where workers manage heavy wooden vats. In the foreground, a worker’s hand grips a rough wooden loom shuttle, paused mid-motion as he sorts dyed leather strips. Nearby, a stack of creased leather panels from a basketball rests against a stone wall, their textured grain catching the harsh light. Dried drips of red dye stain the enamel basin beside him, against the vibrant pinks and browns of the soaking hides.
