Silhouetted Tide Pools Under Copper Clouds

Copper-toned light spills across a shallow volcanic rock pool near Cape Town, turning the water into a dark, reflective sheet. The low angle shows the jagged, black basalt edges rising steeply toward the sky, creating a dramatic drop-off. Above, soft clouds drift in slow motion, their white forms doubled within the still water surface. Tiny suspended particles glitter like scattered gold dust in the backlit column, suspended in the early autumn air. The water surface acts as a mirror, layering the sky over the deep, shadowed pools below. One dark rock protrudes from the center, breaking the glassy reflection and anchoring the scene.
