Silhouetted Chimney Breast in Roofless Mizoram Hammam

Heavy overcast skies cast a flat, gray light over the roofless hammam in Mizoram, leaving the interior exposed to the dry season air. A solitary chimney breast stands as the only vertical structure, its rough stone and brickwork reduced to a stark silhouette against the dimming sky. The floor is a mosaic of broken tiles and loose earth, scattered with debris from the collapsed roof. No walls remain to shield the space, revealing the open horizon beyond. The backlit condition turns the masonry into a dark, solid mass, emphasizing its isolation. Dust settles on the jagged edges of the remaining masonry. The horizon line cuts sharply through the upper third of the view.
