Copper-toned light washes over a glacial stream cutting through the Sinai landscape. A Bactrian camel stands in sharp silhouette against the bright sky, its two humps and long neck defined by the backlight. The water reflects the fading day, creating a shimmering path beside the animal's dark legs. Fine sand and scattered rocks mark the stream bank under the clear late summer sky. The subject rests near the water's edge, framed to the right of the composition. One shadow stretches across the wet stones where the camel's hoof meets the ground.
