Bactrian Camel Twilight Shadow Gobi Trail

Deep shadows swallow the lower half of a Bactrian camel standing along a dusty game trail in midsummer. A sharp rim of cool twilight light traces the curve of its two humps and the heavy, coarse texture of its thick winter coat. The animal remains still against a backdrop of flat, pale Gobi desert scrub. Above, a perfectly clear sky transitions from deep indigo to a faint, fading violet near the horizon. Dust particles hang suspended in the thin air, catching the last remnants of sunlight. The camel's dark silhouette anchors the right third of the frame, its head turned slightly toward the fading light.
