Sinai Alluvial Fan Under Blue Evening Light

Steel-blue ambient light covers the vast floodplain of the Sinai desert, where a sprawling alluvial fan spreads from a narrow canyon mouth. Sedimentary layers display subtle gradients of ochre, rust, and pale grey, shaped by recent rain. Heat haze shimmers above the flat ground, distorting the horizon line and softening distant rock faces. From a high vantage point, the fan's radial ridges create a textured pattern against the smoother, wetter mud of the surrounding plain. Wet surfaces reflect the cool sky, while dry patches retain a dusty matte finish. Sharp geometric lines of the canyon walls anchor the view, beside the organic spread of debris. A thin vein of dark water traces a path down the center of the fan, catching the last glow of the fading day.
