Bright orange curry coats tender octopus pieces atop a mound of white rice, resting directly on a bed of swaying green seagrass blades. First light of dawn spills across the water surface, casting slow-moving ripples that distort the reflection of the meal. The clear water reveals individual grains of rice and the glistening texture of the sauce. Autumn leaves in muted browns and golds drift nearby on the water, against the vibrant food colors. A shallow depth of field blurs the distant horizon while keeping the plate sharp. The final image shows a single grain of rice clinging to a green seagrass leaf.
