Sea Cave Refracted Light Cuban Valley Afternoon

Hard coastal glare floods the entrance of a sea cave carved into limestone, where beams of refracted light cut through the dark interior. The cave mouth frames a view across a wide valley floor in Cuba, revealing layers of terrain that recede into the distance. Dramatic clouds stack high above the horizon, their undersides shadowed against the bright sky. The cool season keeps the vegetation sparse and dusty on the valley slopes. Textures range from the rough, pitted rock of the cave walls to the smooth, dry earth below. Sunlight hits the cave floor in sharp, geometric patches, illuminating floating dust particles near the water line. A final beam of blue light rests against the wet, dark stone at the back wall.
