Sand and Glass in Jakarta Lighthouse Ruin

Rich amber sunlight floods the roofless nave of a derelict lighthouse keeper room near Senopati, Jakarta. A thick layer of wind-blown sand covers the floor, rising against the base of crumbling brick walls. Shards of shattered glass glint in the low-angle light, scattered among drifts of beige sediment. The rain season leaves surfaces damp and dark, with water streaks visible on the exposed masonry. Strong wind whips loose debris across the open space, blurring the edges of broken window frames. Dust motes swirl in the golden beams, settling on the jagged remains of the structure. at the edge is a single shard of blue glass resting on a wet stone ledge, reflecting the deepening twilight sky.
