Salt Pillars on Wave-Cut Shore Under Noon Sun

Bright white salt formations rise vertically from a flat, wave-cut shoreline near Cape Town. The noon sun hangs high, casting short, sharp shadows beneath jagged crusts that stretch across the pale ground. Early spring light remains dry and clear, highlighting the rough, crystalline texture of the salt against the darker, damp earth at the water's edge. A perfectly blue sky fills the upper frame without a single cloud, showing the vast, still horizon. The shoreline curves gently, where the white salt meets the deep, shadowed trough of the receding tide.
