Cape Town Drying Rack

A weathered wooden drying rack stands on a salt-crusted balcony railing overlooking the grey Atlantic waters of Cape Town. The harsh winter noon light reflects off the glossy enamel surface of a white kettle resting on the lower slats. Beside the kettle, a faded hand towel hangs loosely over the edge, its cotton fibers catching the stiff breeze from the sea. One sun hat rests against the railing, its brim bent from the constant coastal winds.
