Resplendent Quetzal on Wind-Scoured Ridge

Vibrant emerald feathers glow against a backdrop of blurred, wind-whipped foliage on a rugged ridge. The resplendent quetzal perches firmly on a gnarled branch, its long trailing tail feathers rippling in the gusts. Late autumn light floods the scene, illuminating the bird's crimson chest and the dry, brownish hues of the surrounding shrubs. A shallow depth of field dissolves the distant trees into soft, indistinct shapes of green and grey. The bird's sharp black eye reflects the bright midmorning sun, while its claws grip the rough bark with precision. One dewdrop clings to a nearby leaf, trembling slightly as the wind moves through the forest.
