Prairie Dog Barking at Guyana Tidal Inlet Sunset

Rich amber sunset light spills across a coastal inlet in Guyana, illuminating a small prairie dog perched atop a dirt mound. The animal stands upright on its hind legs, mouth open in a barking posture against a backdrop of heavy, grey overcast skies. Cool season grasses surround the mound, appearing short and dry under the fading light. The tidal water reflects the amber glow while the sky remains a uniform slate grey. Fine textures of the prairie dog's fur catch the warm illumination, against the muted tones of the wet earth. A shadow stretches across the grass to the left, ending at the edge of the mound where the animal stands alert.
