Peat River Flows Over Granite in French Valley

Hard coastal glare cuts through steady rain, illuminating a dark peat-stained river as it rushes over wide granite slabs on a valley floor in France. The water moves with a steady, heavy flow, carrying fine brown sediment that stains the gray stone surfaces. Raindrops create a constant ripple across the dark surface, while the surrounding valley walls rise steeply on either side. Late summer greenery rests on the rocky edges, muted by the wet conditions. The light reflects sharply off the wet rocks, creating bright white highlights against the deep browns and grays. At the edge of the frame, a smooth, water-worn boulder rests half-submerged in the current, its surface glistening with moisture.
