Lightning Strike on Radio Tower Ridge

A jagged bolt of white lightning fractures the gray sky, striking the top of a steel lattice radio tower perched on a rugged Alberta ridge. Below, the landscape dissolves into thick, swirling mist that softens the edges of the autumn terrain. Stacked thunderheads pile high against the horizon, their dark undersides heavy with rain, against the pale, diffused light filtering through the overcast ceiling. The tower stands stark and metallic, its crossbeams catching the flash while the surrounding trees display muted browns and faded yellows of peak fall. From this high vantage point, the vertical steel structure pierces the low-hanging clouds, anchoring the chaotic weather in a fixed, industrial presence. The final flash illuminates a wet, dark branch hanging just below the tower's base.
