Morning Melon Vines on Sandy Farm Near Golmud
Low sun casts a pale gold glow across the terraced rice paddies near Golmud, illuminating a patch of sandy agricultural ground. Green melon vines sprawl over thick layers of straw mulch, their serrated leaves catching the early morning light. A thin layer of ground fog pools in the depressions between the terraces, softening the edges of the landscape while the wind ripples the dry grasses. The earth appears coarse and textured, against the organic curves of the vines. Mist hangs low, partially obscuring the distant terraced ridges, while the foreground remains sharp and detailed. at the edge is a single dewdrop clinging to the tip of a vine leaf, reflecting the pale morning sky.
