Morning Fog Pooling in Victoria Forest Clearing

Cold silver dawn light spills over a vast forest clearing in Victoria, where thick morning fog settles into the hollows between ancient gum trees. The dry season has stripped the canopy of heavy foliage, leaving branches sharp against a backdrop of fast-moving cloud bands tearing across the sky. Patches of brown grass and scattered eucalyptus leaves cover the forest floor, against the pale, swirling mist that pools in low-lying areas. The fog creates soft, undefined edges where the ground meets the air, while distant tree trunks stand as dark, vertical anchors against the brightening horizon. A narrow beam of light pierces through the breaking storm clouds, illuminating a specific cluster of ferns on the right edge of the frame.
