Winter Forest Lake Reflection Shanghai

Dark silhouettes of leafless trees stand stark against a pale, overcast sky, their branches mirrored perfectly in the glassy surface of a still lake. The water holds the gray tones of the late afternoon, broken only by the faint white ripples of sea spray hovering near the shore. Bare, skeletal trunks rise from the muddy bank, their rough bark texture visible in the low light. The ground around the water is damp and scattered with fallen brown leaves, against the smooth, dark water. A heavy mist rests on the horizon, softening the distant tree line and blending the sky into the water. The reflection creates a seamless vertical symmetry, where the dark shapes of the forest extend endlessly downward into the deep, still pool.
