Manta Alley Dumpsters Fire Escapes Twilight Drizzle in at a tram stop in Manta

Manta Alley Dumpsters Fire Escapes Twilight Drizzle

by Gordon McLean

Cool blue light washes over a narrow back alley in Manta where rain slicks the asphalt into a silver mirror. Heavy metal dumpsters line the left wall, their surfaces reflecting the dimming sky, while rusted fire escapes zigzag up the brickwork on the right. The pavement glistens under a fine drizzle that catches the faint glow from overhead fixtures. Leading lines formed by the building edges and the curb draw toward a distant tram stop sign glowing softly in the distance. Seasonal dampness coats the ground in a thin sheen, and moisture hangs heavy over the street. A puddle near the foreground shows a sharp, fractured reflection of the highest fire escape rung.
