Rain-soaked Kassala Alley at Twilight

Damp asphalt reflects the warm spill of yellow light from nearby storefronts, contrasting sharply with the cooling blue-grey of the monsoon sky. Heavy, dark storm clouds loom overhead, pressing down on the narrow alley lined with rusted metal dumpsters and peeling fire escapes. Water sheets off the corrugated roofs, pooling in the uneven pavement while wet brickwork absorbs the ambient glow. The low angle emphasizes the towering metal grates of the fire escapes against the dramatic, cloud-filled horizon. Rain glistens on the chrome handles of the dumpsters, creating sharp, jagged highlights that cut through the dim, moody atmosphere of the street.
