Midnight Alley Puddle Reflects Sky in Nagasaki

Neon light spills from storefronts onto a wet concrete alley ending in a dead wall near a metro entrance in Nagasaki. A shallow puddle at the curb shows a sliver of dark sky above. Wind funnels dry leaves and crumpled paper along the edge of the pavement, scattering them across the damp surface. The colors shift between electric blue, soft pink, and deep shadows cast by the metal grating of the subway access. Rough textures of cracked asphalt contrast with the smooth, rippling water that distorts the reflection. A discarded plastic bottle rests half-submerged near the center, its label illuminated by the flickering overhead glow. at the edge is the way the neon edge glows along the rim of the puddle.
