Lichen on Basalt Under Milky Way Sky

Warm interior shadows pool against dew-soaked moss in an indoor setting just after sunrise. The frame focuses on a patch of basalt where lichen spreads in minute, textured detail. Raking light highlights the rough, granular surface of the stone and the delicate, leafy structures of the green growth. Above the mossy ground, a vast blue sky fills the negative space, arching with the bright, distinct band of the Milky Way visible in broad daylight. The impossible celestial arc contrasts sharply with the intimate, quiet discovery of the damp earth below. Sharp shadows from the lichen fall across the wet rock, at the base of the surreal sky in the tangible, dewy reality of the moss.
