Tiered Waterfall Mossy Jungle Ravine Havana Dawn in across a floodplain after rain near Fusterlandia, Havana

Tiered Waterfall Mossy Jungle Ravine Havana Dawn

by Paisley Khan

Emerald moss carpets the rock faces of a tiered waterfall cascading through a dense jungle ravine. First rays of nautical dawn pierce the humid air, illuminating droplets suspended in the mist rising from the falls. The water flows over dark, wet stone into a flooded plain below, where the surface acts as a perfect mirror. Distant haze clings low on the horizon, softening the edge where the jungle meets the sky. Green ferns and broad leaves glisten with recent rain, their saturated colors contrasting against the grey-blue tones of the morning light. A reflection of the upper tiers lies perfectly inverted in the still floodwater, creating a symmetrical composition of falling and rising water. at the edge is the sharp edge of a wet leaf resting on the water's surface.
