Lava Flow Meets Ocean at Sunset in Leh Mist

Dark, cooled basalt rock stretches across the frame, its rough, jagged surface against the deep blue water of the ocean. A thick, gray mist hangs low over the horizon, softening the edges where the land meets the sea. Warm golden light from the setting sun illuminates the top ridges of the lava flow, casting long shadows into the crevices. The water remains still, acting as a perfect mirror that reflects the dark silhouette of the rock and the fading sky above. Patches of frost or damp moss rest on the cooler stones near the waterline, hinting at the turn of seasons. One, smooth stone rests in the shallow surf, catching the last rays of light before disappearing into the shadowed tide.
