Autumn Lava Meets Ocean in Misty Silhouette

Dark volcanic rock cuts through the water, releasing thick white steam that rises into the heavy autumn mist. The sun sits low on the horizon, casting the cooling lava flows into sharp black silhouettes against a glowing sky. Irrigation geometry near Quito appears as faint, organized lines in the foreground, against the raw, irregular shapes of the cooling earth. Layers of depth recede as the steam thickens, obscuring the distant shoreline while keeping the steam plumes distinct. The water surface reflects the pale orange light, creating a sharp boundary between the dark land and the bright, hazy sky. One dark ridge of cooled lava juts into the white vapor at the water's edge.
