Jacana Walking Lily Pads Andalusia Garden

Clear dry mountain light illuminates the water surface where a jacana steps across broad, waxy lily pads. The bird's long, slender toes spread wide to distribute weight, gripping the wet, dark green leaves that float near terraced garden edges. Early autumn air leaves the surrounding foliage crisp, with hints of yellowing along the pad margins. The water reflects the perfectly clear sky, creating a sharp, mirror-like surface beneath the bird's pale plumage. Behind the floating vegetation, stone retaining walls of the Andalusian plots rise in soft focus, their weathered texture against the smooth, undulating water. One droplet rests on the tip of a reed near the bird's rear leg, catching the bright afternoon sun.
