Jaguar Crossing Leaves in Idaho Rain

Golden afternoon light falls through a soft midsummer drizzle, illuminating a jaguar moving through a dense bed of fallen leaves at the edge of a reed marsh. Fine dust particles lift from the damp earth as the animal's striped coat shifts with every step. Water droplets rest on the long green reeds that frame the path, while the shallow depth of field blurs the background into a wash of muted greens and browns. The jaguar's amber eyes reflect the gray sky above, and its paws press firmly into the wet soil. One leaf rests on the wet ground near the animal's trailing paw, glistening with rain.
