Jaguar Crosses Salt Marsh Near Matamoros Reed Bed

Soft, diffuse late-afternoon light falls through the clear sky, illuminating a jaguar moving steadily across a wet salt marsh. The cat's spotted coat glows with warm amber and deep charcoal tones as it navigates the shallow, reflective water. Fine dust and salt crystals lift gently in the side wind, swirling around the animal's powerful legs. Tall green reeds line the left edge, creating a natural frame that draws toward the predator's focused gaze. The ground glistens with recent rain, mirroring the pale blue sky above. One ripple spreads from the jaguar's paw, breaking the stillness of the marsh surface.
